This is Gedling is a Not for Profit (NFP) community group set up to bring the printed word to the people of Gedling borough.

We are Gedling …. We love the Planet …. We love Print …. We are Journalists … We are local …. We Support …. We Signpost …. We celebrate Local Success …. We have a Vision …. We want a Better Borough …. We are 100% Independent …. We celebrate Diversity …. We are You !

Born from a love of the printed word and the aspiration to make a difference This is Gedling was created.

Bringing local news and signposting from Netherfield to Ravenshead, from Linby to Carlton, from Calverton to Papplewick, from Arnold to Woodborough, from Stoke Bardolph to Bestwood and from Mapperley to Burton Joyce we cover our entire borough of 120,000 residents.

Whether you are a lover of digital reading on the go or like to relax, have a coffee and a slow read while appreciating the smell and touch of the printed word you can access our magazine for free. We run / fund our magazine from advertising, donations, merchandising and the support of our volunteers. We deliberately limit our advertising as This is Gedling is not an advertising magazine – it is a journey of news, signposting, support and all good things local. You can support us for less than the price of a coffee by becoming a TIGer Member or contacting us to arrange a donation.

We have been kindly supported by Jigsaw foundation who carry out excellent work supporting local community groups. Further information and details on how to apply can be accessed via https://foundation.jigsawhomes.org.uk/

Jigsaw Foundation Funding (Part of the Jigsaw Group) have supported This is Gedling Magazine

We have a strong self-defined commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and work with and support companies/projects that are in line with such values.

We love print but we also love our planet – we not only do our best to ensure that our partners share our high standards but ensure that their partners do the same – from where our paper comes from or the materials used in our clothing merchandise. Please see our Environment page for more information.
